Went to the gym and had dinner at Sushi Tei (YUM!) with Agnes and her friend, Nellie. We were talking about all sorts of things and hmm...it got me started on thinking about the things I would or could be if I hadn't come into teaching. Let's see.

* A lawyer (that's what Law School was for)
* A banker, or business strategy consultant
* A musician or dancer (that means I would NOT have gone through the education system in Singapore.)
* A travel journalist

Travel journalist - we were talking about it just now. EVERYONE wants this job but Nellie said that you don't really have to be one to travel around. You can be the make-up artist or sound technician for the travel journalist. How cool! Why didn't I think of that?! I *still* get to travel.

Oh yeah, the bombers from last week's attacks in London came from Leeds!! ARGH!! I know where these people came from (OK, I don't know them and they weren't neighbours) but ARGH....the places mentioned in the news are all familiar to me. Beeston (that's where Elland Road is..home of the once fantastic Leeds United FC), Dewsbury (OK, this is a little further away) and *gasp* Hyde Park! Goodness gracious me!
