Let it snow, let it snow (2)

Some pictures of us playing in the snow. It's a pretty sight but not pretty when it causes headaches for travel. We were supposed to leave for LA on Friday morning but with Denver International Airport closed till Friday noon, our flight's been cancelled. As of Thursday evening, my dad managed to sort out, with much headache & ear-ache as a result of talking to machines, a flight to LA on Christmas night. That means we spend 2 days in LA instead of 5! Oh well.....better than nothing.

Knee-high snow Mum & I - she's the one in white, make no mistake :p

My brother's idea

Sigh! As I posted this, it seems that my flight hasn't been sorted. Everyone else's, except mine. Boo hoo! I have to walk to LA :'(

Let it snow, let it snow

It has been snowing non-stop for more than 24 hours. There's about 2 feet of snow outside the house now. We hear that Denver International Airport will only resume flights from noon on Friday. That means our flight to LA is affected because it is suppose to leave at 8plus in the morning. So my dad is trying to re-book.

Thank God that we are indoors and my dad came home early from work yesterday. So many people were stranded on the main highways. It's an experience though, since I've never encountered anything this extreme and powerful before. Here are some pictures.

My brother using a broom to sweep the snow away from the entrance of the garage (as though!)- we were at Target the night before & we totally forgot about getting a shovel

'tis the week before Christmas

I've been told that I haven't been updating my blog (looks at Ag & gives a wink). Apart from sheer laziness, I can't offer a better reason. Afterall, I have Internet connection here in the USA & I can still connect while enjoying the comfort of my bed. So if it isn't laziness, please tell me what is.

Since I'm too lazy, I shall put up some pictures here. Afterall, a picture speaks a thousand words. So a few pictures would have spoken a few thousand words :p

It's freezing outdoors & I'm just waiting for the snow storm to fall upon Denver. I shall be headed to warmer conditions this coming Friday - Hello LA!!!!

Till then, Merry Christmas & a Blessed New Year to one & all :)
