The Aftermath

The wreckage of the bus service 30 that ripped was ripped by the bomb
(Picture from BBC website)

That's a picture I got from the BBC website. There are tons of pictures there but I chose this one because it tells the whole story. I can't find any words to describe the carnage. I can't find any words to express how I feel when I see the pictures, save for the tears that just well up. Think: how many lives have been affected by this act of insanity? How many are crying now? How many are in pain now?

I'm so sad. Really. As I look at the pictures and read the news, the tears roll down. Everything I know of London - icons like the Underground sign, the red buses, the policemen and their bright yellow vests, the cars, the buildings - so familiar and close to me. I'm at a loss for words.

Thank God that Angela is fine. Spoke with her on the phone today. She changed jobs so her new job is in North London and she doesn't pass through Central London on the Tube since she drives from Essex on the major roadway to work. Dom e-mailed to say he's OK though everything happened so close to his workplace. (Big) Catherine & (Little) Catherine are fine. Little Catherine is so relieved that she decided to give shopping a miss that morning upon oversleeping.

God be with the families and friends of those who lost their loved ones. God be with the families and friends of the injured. God be with the injured, those who survived, the medics, the firemen, the police, the Tube workers, the volunteers....everyone. God grant the authorities and the leaders wisdom in this matter. God give everyone His peace and be the eye of the storm.
