I'm not jealous but intrigued. Very. Ever noticed that chefs and designers are mostly males? I did a quick search & found on the BBC website that out of the 47 celebrity chefs featured on that page, 32 are males. 32! That's more than half. Think again. Of all the top notch, big fashion houses, again, they are mostly males. Marc Jacobs, Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana, Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik and the list goes on...
You know, it's us, silly women, who make these men rich. But you've got to admit it, that they DO know how to make us happy. Who really cares if they are straight or not. The point is that they know where to score with the women by sending us to euphoric moments of happiness with bags, clothes, shoes, food, etc.
Question is, why is it, then, that some men JUST don't get it. My Dad doesn't understand why Mum & I need to buy clothes, shoes and bags everytime we go shopping. According to an article I read some time ago back in uni, the number one peeve of men is having to follow women when they go shopping for clothes, shoes & bags. More so when women get more of these things when they are already well-stocked with all these things.
To that, I can say, enough is never enough. Clothes, shoes & bags maketh a woman. I know there are many out there in the world who cannot afford the pleasures & privileges of owning many clothes, shoes & bags but it's not just owning these things that make women happy. The fact that these things make women LOOK & therefore feel happy is enough. Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm shallow :p
To these gentlemen who make clothes, shoes & bags, keep it up. You have a big market out there & it will keep growing. For as long as the biological longing to look good & feel good remains innate in women, enough is never enough.
