This is just an observation of the types of passengers I observed on the flight to NY.
1. Mountain tortoises
OK, I understand that not everyone is as fortunate to travel often to know how things on the aeroplane work. Still, it is amusing to watch them as they fiddle around with the controls & the seats.
2. Inconsiderate pigs
I hate to have to use such a label on them but these are the type of passengers that annoy me to the core.
(i) I know some people cannot help it but they snore like crazy. It drives me mad!! Imagine still being able to hear someone snoring though your headphones are attached to your ears with music/sound pumping. It's a lot worse when you try to sleep & have someone WHO IS NOT next to you snoring above the humming of the plane engine & headphones.
(ii) It may not be a full flight but I don't appreciate people who assume that & spread out their hand luggage into other's space. True, there is a limit to number of hand carry luggage but I suppose they are more forgiving on long haul flights. The guy sitting next to me used up all the space in the overhead luggage compartment for 32H & 32J. Poor Milly Me had to store her luggage in another overhead compartment a little away from seat. What really irked me was that the guy didn't even apologise - he just looked at me & treated it as though it was ALL his space.
Oh yes, you know what was really funny? We have all heard announcements & reminders about not smoking on the plane & making sure the overhead luggage compartment is properly secured. But you know what's this funny announcement I heard? The pilot announced that in accordance to US regulations, passengers are not allowed to gather in numbers at any point of time on the flight to talk. HA HA HA HA!!! What a joke!! You could see the sniggers from the faces of passengers as the announcement was made.
It's been a long flight & it amazes me how the plane can stay up there for 18 hours. But I suppose with the many types of passengers, that's what the 18 hours are for - to live & breath the air they do.
