I admit that I'm no fan of James Blunt but really, his latest single out of the album (Back to Bedlam) 'Goodbye My Lover' gets on my nerves. It's a sad, sappy song as the title speaks for itself but the tune is annoying. It sounds more like him whining away..can't say more.
To think that he was a war veteran during the Kosovo Crisis back in the 90s & now he's a sappy song singer. Perhaps it was a bad experience he had but who hasn't had bad experiences? I think at the end of the day, it's about making a choice to separate oneself from bad experiences. I'm not sure if it's just me but I would say that for a female, I have the ability to desansitise myself of feelings & not get emotional when I have to. Sure, I do get upset on & off over all kinds of things & even nothing but you'd hardly find me whining & pining away for days, weeks, months, years on end. That just annoys me! Shoot me in the head if I go beyond the 1-month whine period.
So what really gets me talking?
1. Shopping
2. Shopping
3. Shopping
4. Shopping
5. Shopping
OK, I ain't that bad, or am I? :p Music gets me going, both intelligent & idle talk are welcomed. :)
In other news, I'm proud to say that I've accomplished quite a number of things before I head off to New York next Monday. Let's do a quick check:
1. Cut the grass
2. Renewed car insurance & road tax
3. Finished off a fair amount of work (SOWs..still have somemore but I'm taking my time)
4. Cleared some house stuff
5. Ummmm....done a few million other things
By the way, I've started a blog for my trip to New York so do look out for it. I'll update it as soon as I have content for it.
For now, I'm just looking forward to seeing my folks again. HURRAY!!
