Leaving on a jet plane

Hmmm..let's see. In about 5 hours or so, I'll be on my way to New York HURRAY!! I'm nearly packed. Will do the final bits where I pack in my toiletries after my shower. The next time I blog, it'll be in NYC. Do check out MiL in NY, my other blog for this trip. I'll still update this though.

It has been a tiring weekend, I must say. I was pretty stretched but I'm happy nonetheless. I had friends come over on Saturday for a dinner so I started being 'aunty' & did my shopping early in the week & started the cooking/preparations on Friday. I even got stuff to decorate the house! They were mosty tea-lights/candles. Had lots of fun, as usual, with Ros, Angie & Gabriel :)

Besides that big thing, the other thing that got me maxed out was to do story-telling to kids at the Singapore Art Museum at this event called "Kids Have A Say". I was dressed up as a cow, complete with headgear because you see, I was telling a story about cows on a farm who refuse to give milk (I am the most flat-chested cow because my udders were nowhere on the outfit, plus I was mistaken for a Dalmatian :p) The kids were lovely & the adults I worked with were really fun. We had little a dance party & played Taboo while waiting for the kids to come by to pick either of us (we were supposed to be books come alive). Had a couple of TV people among us & they were great fun. It's been a wonderful weekend & I'm looking forward to an even more wonderful time with my family in NY :)
