7 Blunders of the World

According to Mahatma Gandhi, the following are the 7 blunders of the world.
  1. Wealth without work
  2. Pleasure without conscience
  3. Knowledge without character
  4. Commerce without morality
  5. Science without humanity
  6. Worship without sacrifice
  7. Politics without principle
So really, the only blunders we make in our lives are the result of our character flaws. We may decide on doing things that we think make us happy but are we really happy with ourselves? I suppose the bottomline is this - we may do many things but if we are not contented within ourselves, we have no peace in our souls, we will continue to live with those 7 blunders and affect/hurt others in the process.

Oscar Wilde, controversial as he was in his time, has my full respect for his genius. Among the many things he said, the following is one of my favourites.

"Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you."

What blunders have you made? What makes you wealthy? I hope that in your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you; for where your treasure is, so your heart will be.
