I kid you not...

...but I really felt it. The earth moved. Here in England. I kid you not. Who would have thought that an earthquake that measured 5.2 on the Richter scale would rock England at about 0100 GMT 27 February 2008?

I was writing an email to my brother when I heard some rumbling. Before I knew it, the rumbling became louder and I felt the entire building shake. My table shook as well. A good thing that it wasn't strong enough otherwise I would have suffered some head injuries had the tremor cause my books and files to fall from the bookshelves overhead.

Everything was over in a matter of seconds. I couldn't believe it. But everything is fine right now. No damage or whatsoever. In fact, I don't mind having some tremors again (slight ones, of course!) just to make sure, just because it's ephemeral.

OK, maybe not. Some people had it worse that I did. But yes, I was part of a phenomenon that has captured me since I was little. Earthquakes are my interest. I kid you not.
