Hello, hello. It's hard to believe it but I will be in Leeds in less than a month. I have just sorted my travel arrangements and applied for my visa (which I hope I don't run into problems in the process). I freaked out when I got a call from someone in the office who told me that they have just faxed my resignation TODAY 10 August, when I was made to submit it before 31 July (and I obediently did so on 27 July). But never mind! I have another 21 days of such...such... oh, never mind :)
Anyway, I am very pleased that an article I wrote is up on the BBC Leeds website. It isn't anything phenomenal but something from the heart. I might make it a regular thing to write for them. Although I won't be given a single penny for the contributions but at least it's something I can put into my CV. Now, *that* is intangible.
Now that I have sorted the admin things for Leeds, I need to look into 'personal' things - contact lenses, endless supply of green tea, etc etc. And pack clothes. I might ship some things over, like my bulky winter coats (should have left them there!! Haha!) Oh yes, I have been appointed subwarden at my accom - which means 'nanny' to the people there and the bonus of getting quite an amount of my rent. (Ashnymph - I'm staying at where you stayed in Year 1..haha!)
Oh!!! My mum is a YouTube user now. Hahaha!!!! She's been watching...ermm..ermm.. 'taichi' videos on YouTube. She just got a webcam and learnt how to use Skype and MSN. I'm so proud of her.
So yes, back to the countdown. Nearly there!!!!
