In the mean time, I'm getting a couple of things sorted. Firstly, I'm contacting the uni about fees because I've been offered a scholarship to offset a portion of my fees. And apparently, there is a discount if I pay up a certain amount before the end of July. I'm so impressed that all these can be done online. It seems that I can get registered/matriculated online too, which means I don't have to stand in line for 2 hours to sort my fees, fill up forms just to get my student card.
Next, it's accommodation. I found out that I will not be able to stay at my old place on Springfield Mount. I've been offered a place further away, some 30 minutes if I walk back from campus. That's not too bad since I don't mind walking. But you can be sure that I will never wake up 30 minutes earlier just to walk to class. NEVER! The bus will be choice of transport. Or perhaps, I'll get myself a bicycle :) The other exciting thing about the accommodation is that I've applied to be subwarden. Yes, that means I get to be 'nanny' to an assigned bunch of residents. Hopefully, I get it because that would mean that my rental will be greatly reduced as payment for my services as a subwarden. For telling people to keep quiet & ensuring nobody treats the place like a zoo, I think it's quite a good bargain.
The neat thing about it all is that I have 24 hour internet access because I have a network point that connects me to the uni's network. Woo hoo!!! So here comes the problem. I don't know what laptop to get. I need to get it before the end of the month so that I can claim an amount from my employers (ahhhh, for once I'm not complaining about them). My brother was telling me to get a Dell. This is what I found - the Dell Inspiron 1420

That aside. This is about my Mum. She's so funny. I never knew she was such a Coach bag expert. Just a week ago, I accompanied her to the hospital for a check-up & I spotted a lady with a really nice design which was Coach-looking. I pointed the bag out to Mum & she said that it's a fakie. And she started explaining to me the differences between the Real McCoy & the wannabe - the colours, the tags, the buckles, etc. Since then, she's been looking out for Coach-looking bags to comment on whether they are real or not.
According to my Mum, the real Coach bag's colour is deeper/darker. And the tag doesn't look as cheapskate, however she defines it.Anyway, twiddle me this, twiddle me that. I think I shall start drawing up a list of things that I want to buy to be brought along to UK. 8 more weeks at work..AAAHHH!!!
